  • Total Time: 5 hours 30 minutes (including chilling)
  • Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 24 Oreo cookies (with filling)

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For the Filling:

  • 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup sour cream

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • Purple gel food coloring (as needed)

  • 68 crushed Oreos (optional, for added texture)

For the Topping:

  • Whipped cream (optional)

  • Purple sprinkles or edible glitter

  • Additional Oreo cookies for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Crush Oreos in a food processor (or a bag with a rolling pin) until fine crumbs form.

  3. Mix crumbs with melted butter until evenly coated.

  4. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Smooth the surface with the back of a spoon.

  5. Bake for 8–10 minutes, then let it cool.

Step 2: Make the Filling

  1. In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.

  2. Add sugar and vanilla, mixing until creamy.

  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating on low speed to avoid overmixing.

  4. Stir in heavy cream, sour cream, and cornstarch until smooth.

  5. Add purple gel food coloring gradually until you achieve the desired color.

  6. Fold in crushed Oreos (optional).

Step 3: Assemble and Bake

  1. Pour filling over the cooled crust, spreading evenly.

  2. Place the springform pan inside a larger roasting pan. Add hot water halfway up the sides for a water bath.

  3. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 60–70 minutes, until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.

  4. Turn off oven, crack door open, and let cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.

  5. Transfer to fridge and chill at least 4 hours or overnight.

Step 4: Decorate and Serve

  1. Remove cheesecake from pan once chilled.

  2. Top with whipped cream, sprinkles, glitter, and Oreos.

  3. Slice with a warm knife for clean cuts.

  4. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Always use room temperature cream cheese for a smooth filling.

  • A water bath helps prevent cracks.

  • Use gel food coloring (not liquid) for vibrant color without altering the texture.

  • To freeze: Wrap tightly and store for up to 1 month.
